Vigilum / Safety disclaimer

Safety disclaimer

Read this before starting a benchmark or sustained workload.

IMPORTANT: HIGH-LOAD HARDWARE TESTING DISCLAIMER

1. Voluntary Hardware Testing & High-Load Risk Acknowledgment

The Vigilum Hardware Benchmark Platform ("Vigilum", "we", "us", or "the Platform") executes client-side Web Workers, WebGL 3D physics shaders, path-tracing routines, and memory allocation routines designed to stress CPU, GPU, and RAM hardware components to maximum utilization.

2. Complete Exclusion of Liability (Zero-Liability Clause)

BY EXECUTING ANY BENCHMARK OR STRESS TEST ON THIS PLATFORM, YOU AGREE THAT YOU DO SO ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Vigilum, its creators, developers, owners, affiliates, and hosting providers SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages resulting from the use of this software.

This complete exclusion of liability includes, but is not limited to:

  • Hardware degradation, thermal throttling, power supply failure, or hardware damage.
  • System crashes, blue screens (BSOD), kernel panics, or un-saved data loss.
  • Overclocking instability or thermal shutdown events.
  • Electrical component wear or overheating of CPU, GPU, VRAM, or RAM modules.

3. User Responsibility & System Cooling

It is the user's sole responsibility to ensure that their system possesses adequate cooling, power delivery, stable thermal paste, and up-to-date hardware drivers prior to executing heavy benchmark workloads or infinite stress tests. If system thermals exceed safe manufacturer limits, abort the test immediately.
